The journey of AI Builds a Business
Let's explore these crazy times we're living in. Let's build a real business with the help of AI
I don’t think anyone needs a reminder of the crazy times we’re living in today, but here’s one anyway:
“Klarna’s CEO says the company stopped hiring a year ago because AI ‘can do all of the jobs’”
I came across this article on Business Insider just before Christmas. It scared me, even though I was writing about disappearing jobs two years ago. Maybe it scared you too.
I think ignoring AI, hoping it won’t come for our jobs is wishful thinking.
The equivalent of the companies that waited way too long to adopt to the use of the internet and subsequently failed.
What to do about it?
So, the only thing we can do is adapt ourselves and adopt the use of AI into our lives.
If it’s indeed as good as a team of employees, why shouldn’t we put that to the test?
Update - 13 jan 2025
Anyone can build a company with AI
This newsletter will be exactly that: I will build a company, fully transparent for all of you to see. Using the latest tools, agents & workflows.
You can learn from what I do, adapt some tools into your own life or projects.
And you can influence the course of this company, and decide with me.
Sounds fun? Hang on, it will be a wild ride.
Welcome to my No-code AI journey.
So, what are we building?
I’ll tell you more about it next time, but it’s called:
FounderStack.ai
You can have a quick peek on the landing page to see what it’s about.
I’ve made this landing page in Framer, which is free to use.
I got the following free template from their website, and didn’t change much:
https://www.framer.com/marketplace/templates/cloudpeak/
I used the following setup for the home page, and used my dear friend ChatGPT to write the copy. I created a new project within ChatGPT where I taught it all about what I wanted to do, what the platform should be about, etc.
I then had it use that knowledge to create landing page copy for me, based on the example below. Feel free to copy, I got from withsupafast.com.
Here’s a link to the original copy ChatGPT wrote, in Notion:
I bought the domain for about 80$ for a year on GoDaddy.com.
Then, I got the ‘Mini’ plan from Framer, you need this to connect a Framer site to a custom domain. It’s about $10 a month for a month-to-month subscription, or $5 a month if you pay the entire year.
It only allows for a home page and a 404 (error) page, but that’s enough for now.
I just wanted to make a simple home page that conveys the idea well, so I can start validating it. More on that in the next one.
Cost so far:
Framer template (free)
Framer hosting ($10)
GoDaddy domain ($80)
Google Workspace / Gmail (€5,20)
Let’s say its about €90 so far.
Lastly: the description for the SEO were done by ChatGPT, the update metrics visual by me in Figma.
I wanna end with a question for you:
If you were building a project or company with AI, what would you like to learn about most?
Thanks for reading!
Every week or so, I’ll share an update on how I am building, validating and marketing this company. And your feedback will be invaluable in shaping this, so thanks in advance!
From Barcelona with love,
Jon
